Lucky Farzana
Amitabh Bachchan as chief guest was tremendous. What a speech he made! Farzana is lucky that a superstar like him has such an high opinion of her as a person and as a professional.

Awaiting UpperCrust!
I have been a regular subscriber of UpperCrust for the last four years. I thoroughly enjoy reading about food and travel and UpperCrust offers me the best of both. However, I was disappointed when the last issue didn't make it on time. I was worried that my copy was either pinched by the courier company or that UpperCrust may have got affected by the management problems at the Afternoon Despatch & Courier. Phone calls to your office reassured me that the issue was only delayed. I was happy to receive your copy, albeit delayed, and it gave me immense joy to soak in its contents. I love Goa for many reasons and it looks like UpperCrust actually succeeded in immortalizing this through print.

UpperCrust Show, Simply Fantastic
I am a Bombay resident but had never made it to the UpperCrust Show until the last one. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly! I came by myself on the first day, specially to see the great Amitabh Bachchan, but I made it a point to get the rest of my family and friends to the Show over the next two days. My children had a good time picking bananas from the bunches you hung from the tree. Very creative and very generous. Kudos to the UpperCrust team!

Go Goa!
I travel to Goa every once a year, though not during Christmas or New Year. Each time I go there I live in a different place and explore new places. Must admit, UpperCrust highlighted a completely different aspect of Goa. I never knew a pretty place like LouLou's existed; or that Caravela was one of the hot spots in the area. Thank you for your effort.

True Essence Of Goa
UpperCrust has done a good job profiling Goa like no one before! I really enjoyed the article on Father Mendonsa. It captures the true essence of Goa highlighting its tryst with Indian Catholic artists and sculptors. The article on Mario Miranda was delightful. Jennifer Bramble's story wass interesting read too. That she and LouLou should make Goa their abode is remarkable. As for Wendell and Jerome, life for them is one big holiday. Good, that's how it should be. I have always enjoyed reading the UpperCrust, but this time there was an emotional quotient involved.

Goa Issue Now
our Bible
UpperCrust has covered Goa beyond its food and nightlife. I am a regular to Goa since most of my friends live there, many who have shifted from Bombay. Goa symbolizes a relaxed life coupled with good food and nice people. My friends and I always keep our eyes and ears open for new eateries though we keep going back to our old favourites. After reading the Eating Out section, we made our way to some of the places recommended and I must confess, UpperCrust led us to many a good restaurant. It has now not just our food guide, but our food bible. Farzana Contractor is a great photographer. Congratulations to her.

Reliving Memories
I am an India enthusiast and on an Indian friend's advise, even insistence I started to subscribe to UpperCrust a few years ago. I have visited India on several occasions and Goa is the only place that I have visited more than twice. In fact, soon after my wedding, my husband and I spent a week soaking up the Goan sun and we even went and visited Pousada Tauma. It was nostalgic for us to read about the divine beach town in your magazine recently. You have managed to recreate the essence of this place and jogged our memories too.

Do Away with Guest List
I'm not very fond of the Guest List pages, though I confess I do skim through them. Maybe you could do away with these party pictures and introduce more recipe pages. The Amitabh-Farzana Contractor issue was good but lacked recipes. I am glad you included the recipes from the UpperCrust Show but what about Dolly Thakore's Yakhani Pulao and Aloo Gosht recipes? Although, I liked those by Chef Rego, I wish you had also included some more from Corrine's and Mum's Kitchen. I felt that Goa needed more coverage where recipes of authentic Goan food was concerned, including the Hindu ones. You have to make amends.

Honeymooner's Guide
I happened to pick up the previous issue of your magazine at a local bookstore after seeing Big B on the cover. I was getting married in the next few days and had plans to go to Goa for our honeymoon. My wife to be and I decided to check out some of the destinations UpperCrust had recommended. On seeing the mouth watering photographs of the food we decided to go to The Leela. You see we both are fond of the good life, specially when there is seafood involved Our experience at the hotel was great not just because it was our honeymoon, but also because it was such a romantic place. We used to go for walks on the beach which was quite private. Thanks to UpperCrust, we enjoyed ourselves tucked away in paradise.

Great Discovery
My sister loves to indulge in good food and enjoys cooking exotic meals for her family and friends. On UpperCrust's recommendation, I stopped by Santé on my recent visit to Bombay and picked up some of the finest gourmet products to take for her as a present. I was very impressed by their collection of meats and cheeses, even somewhat intimidated by the wide range available. My sister was overjoyed when she saw the goodies and was happy to organize a family dinner for all of us. I must thank UpperCrust for 'discovering' the place and bringing to light the interesting delights that are making their way into our country from the overseas. I also extend my thanks to Farzana for her ‘delicious’ photographs that forced me to visit the place.

Missed Dolly's Recipes
Come Into My Kitchen with Dolly Thakore was a very interesting piece. I was happy to see that Dolly had cooked yakhni pulao and I immediately flipped the pages searching for the recipe. I was disappointed to see that none of her recipes had been included in the recipe pages at the back. I hope is able to look at these fine details in future.

Rhubarb Recipe
On one of my visits to the high-end supermarket, I saw bunches of rhubarb and wasn't able to identify it. I was happy to read your Starters item on the vegetable with a little background on the same. Is it possible to include a few recipes on rhubarb in some future issue? Also, are there any health benefits ?
