Bombay Meri Hai!

Welcome to Bombay, to its melting pot of cuisines, to its several hundred thousand restaurants, each catering to a different taste and a different budget. You can get your whole Indian Gastronomic Experience here, though dont attempt to do so on the weekends unless you are somebody and can walk in unannounced ... most restaurants, night clubs, pubs are booked solid, that is the culture here. Weekdays, the city works hard; weekends, it parties harder.

The city is fascinating, it offers the curious and the uninitiated so much in terms of food and culture. All you have to do is look around. Explore its markets, its little eateries that are holes in the wall and outside which Bombays Whos Who line up in their Mercs and Jags to eat because the food is so good. Venture into the fine wining and dining restaurants, gasp at the wine lists, marvel at the menus, this is not New York or London.

This is Bombay, it matches the gourmet cities of the world. Thats why visiting master chefs with Michelin stars under their belts come here for their summer holidays. They come to sample the local cuisines, to learn our recipes and lure our cooks away, they come to stand on the sands of Chowpatty and eat bhelpuri... the great leveller.
